Highland Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina was an awesome location for a Beer City wedding. Candice and Bill were an incredible couple who both work in the medical field in Asheville. We first met at the Starbucks in Biltmore Village to discuss their big day. Immediately, I knew their wedding would be a special one. They had originally planned to have their ceremony on the rooftop venue, but that site was still under construction. So, they had their ceremony in the "meadow." It was a lovely ceremony with a guitarist that provided the music. They exchanged vows, lit a unity candle, and shared their first kiss as the crowd cheered. The reception followed in the tasting room where guests ate delicious Luella's barbecue and drank their favorite Highland brews (St. Teresa Pale Ale, Highland Gaelic, Thunderstruck Porter, etc.). This shot was taken in the wooded part of the Meadow after the ceremony. I used a Canon 5D Mark II with the Canon 24-70mm F/2.8 L lens. My assistant used the Paul C. Buff Einstein strobe with a 54" umbrella w/ softbox cover. Her eyes are my favorite part of this photo. Stunning hair and a beautiful veil really make this a favorite close-up bridal portrait.
